The temporary sacred shelter (Balaalayam) for Lord Sastha has been constructed as part of the renovation preparation. The deity will reside here during the demolition and rebuilding of the main Sreekovil.

The temporary sacred shelter (Balaalayam) for Lord Vettaikkorumakan has been set up alongside that of Lord Sastha. Both deities will be ceremonially moved to their respective Balaalayams before demolition begins.

A significant milestone in the renovation journey — the advance payment for the temple construction work was formally handed over to the sculptor by Ooralan Anujan Namboothiripad. This marks the official commencement of the rebuilding of the sacred shrines of Lord Sastha and Lord Vettaikkorumakan.
